Cells in the brain need continuous blood flow carry oxygen to function normally; without blood flow brain cells begin to die within minutes. The brain is responsible for the majority of our bodily functions therefore, when the brain is compromised as in a Stroke the result is, a decline in bodily function which can lead to devastating disability and even death.
